Well 5000 miles have passed and it has come time to replace my rear stock sized Star Specs. So I picked up the phone to call my guy over at Discount Tire only to find the Star Specs are only available at the Tire Rack. Well with that said I was wondering if we get an 'S2ki Price' on them. I bought mine from discount... their price was way higher than tire rack but they matched it and i have the ease of local warranty replacement...

Funny part was that at the time the 265/40/17 was exclusive to tire rack and discount had to call and order from them

 

Discount's price they show is higher when you look at it but you have to remember tire rack does not include shipping in the prices they show while discount does. When I added the shipping to my order on tire rack it was a lot higher than discounts.

 

Damn thats probably why it doesnt show at onlinetires anymore either. Guess its back to federal RS-R..wait that on back order all year.......blah

 

Confirmed. I just ordered Star Specs from Discount tire @ $181 per tire.

 

A price match to what I was paying for them when I purchased the Star Specs from Discount Tire. It's only as of late they are exclusive. I wonder what happens to my warranty for free tire replacement as well.
