Default Street tires

Anyone run these for a street tire?

$109 for a 255 is a good price. How bad could they be?

It’s a 300tw tire. I already have re71s for track days on my ap1 wheels. These are for my ap2 street tires.

The reviews are not bad. For a street tire I'd say give it a shot.

I ran them for a street tire for a while. Just not good in the rain. So be careful

it wasn’t raining today but the roads were wet. My Ventrus V12 evo2 tires are worn down to the bars and wet traction is pretty much nonexistent.

i doubt the Raptors would be worse

Buy something that prioritizes rain traction, if that's the goal.

Conti ECS or Michelin PS4, for example. Bridgestone makes a Potenza 300TW option, IIRC.

300TW summer tires are super versatile, so they need to do a large number of things well. I'm not someone who thinks the most expensive part is automatically the best. But always be aware of what you're giving up for the price decrease.

Typically most of what you give up with cheaper summer tires is wet traction. Although other things can suffer as well. Hankook V12 EVO's have horrendous tread squirm when they're new, for example.

yeah, I looked at the conti’s before. I love Mitch’s, maybe I can find a coupon.

Check Costco - they run specials all the time.

Love getting my tires at Costco. Pricing is usually the best, and they include nitrogen inflation
