Default Stupid question, but very important...PLEASE help

OK this is going to be kind of a stupid question. I just finally got my tires and had them mounted to the wheels, which are Enkei RPF1. My problem, they are not keeping air, very slow leak. All I can attribute this to is the valve, which is my question. How was it supposed to be attached to the wheel? The way I did it was the stem, rubber gasket, the metal washer going into the hole from the outside. From the inside it is the remaining rubber gasket and the 2 nuts holding everything in place. Is this incorrect? Please advise somebody and SOON, because now it is going to cost me more money to have the tires removed and remounted onto the wheels if this is incorrect, well might have to anyway I guess.

Well I just checked the stems and it is definitely them as I can slightly move them and the air is leaking slowly from this point. PHUCK!!!! Again please somebody tell me the proper way to mount the stem to the wheel.

I would of shelled out the few bucks to let a professional do it, tires are fairly important, in my opinion. Do you have a mounting/balancing machine there?

The tires were mounted and balanced professionally. I took the wheels and tires with the valve stems already installed into the wheels, but I apparently didn't install the stems correctly, this is why I am asking what way is the valve stem supposed to be installed? Or did I just not tighten the stem enough, or too tight?

Somebody must have installed these stems into the RPF1s before. There are so many cars with these wheels.

I think most ppl have the installer also put the valve stems in. This is what i usually do, which is why i have no idea how to mount a valve stem! lol

the place you go to for mounting/balancing won't do it for you?

I stopped by there about an hour ago and explained the situation, they said bring the wheels back around 3pm and they will check it out. The guy said he doesn't really like the aluminum stems and suggested I allow him to put in like OEM rubber stems instead. Reading Enkei's literature it says to use the specified stems. So not sure if I want regular rubber stems in place. I have never had an issue with aftermarket wheels, so I am really attributing it to not installing it properly. Just can't think how I installed it wrong as there was not much to it. haha Hopefully it is just a matter of not tightening the stem enough.

Thanks for your reply though. I was hoping somebody would chime in, even sent Enkei a message asking, still haven't heard from them. Go figure, sure my problem is the least of their concern at the moment.

I had to replace a valve stem on my Volks because the installer broke it while installing the tire. He used OEM rubber stem to get me home but it's definitely better with the aluminum valve stem. Got a replacement and they put it on free of charge. Sorry not sure how it's mounted but stick with the Enkei stem.

the washer goes on the top part of the hole (face side) but you got the rubber/gasket part right

AP2 you are saying stem, washer, rubber gasket into the hole, back side of hole is rubber gasket and then the 2 nuts?

If you are saying stem, gasket and washer into hole, this is how I have it . I'm hoping you are saying the prior, because then for sure I have it wrong on all 4.

Thanks for those that gave a reply. The wheels are on the car and pressure is holding. For those that do not know, it goes stem, metal washer, rubber grommet into the hole, other side has rubber grommet and then the 2 nuts.

Don't mind or hate on the 76 stickers, we are required to have them on the car for the current auto-x series as they are the sponsor and each car is to have at least 2 stickers on it. 6 more weeks to go and I can take them off.
