Default Sumitomo HTRZ

So far I'm the only one that has theses on a S2K. I'd like to say WOW great grip. steering response is good and my bump steer is gone. First Auto-x on them I played with tire pressure and I had them down to 33 front and 31 rear with no roll over at all.

Best tire for the buck. I'll keep you up to date as the tire wears.

Spend the extra money on some better tires... after all it is your tires that are the only thing that keeps you on the road.

You are right, but thats why I have Hoosiers. At the track and Autocross is where I need to spend my money. I don't drive it like a FOOL on the road so no need for great tires just something to get me to where I'm going.
When I had my Bought my GSR it had Sumitomo HTRZ II at first I thought what a junk tire no grip, (running 10psi JSC)but after tracking them one time they gripped like no tomorrow and was sold on them after that. I see that a few people have used them on there S2K and want to know more.

Well if you had personal experience with them and lovd it than go for it. I dont think anybody else can give you better feedback than the ones you got yourself.

If I remember correctly, Doug Hayashi ran shaved Sumitomo HTRZ tires on his S2000 to win in the Touring 3 class at the 2003 OTC (Open Track Challenge). So they certainly can't suck too much .

Im running the HTRZ in 17's on the street. So far they are a really good tire. Grip seems to be good, and are pretty predictible. If the sidewall on the Kumho wasnt so ugly id go for those. At the price its hard to go wrong with these.
