Default Supercharged

what do you recommend for front and rear wheels widths for a supercharged S2000 running at about 330whp. im not happy with the overall grip on my car with the oem wheels and tires and currently cross shopping for new wheels. i tracked my car in the bahrain F1 circuit last November but i borrowed my friend's RGII 17'' 7.5 fronts and 8.5 rears. i was very happy with the difference and the car did well on track.

but now since im buying my own rims. id like to see what you'd reommend.

what size for wheels? tires? and ofsets

i say get some volks, light weight, forged and good sizes to run wider tires.

^ with that setup, I was able to run 275 in the rear, no rubbing, but not slammed of course.

225 - I forget the exact offset, but it is the regular volk LE/CE one.

thanks for your inputs

i was thinking the same way but just needed to make sure that this is the most appropriate set up for my car.

i like the volks RE30, i may get them 17'' front 7.5 inch +50 and rear 9 inch +63. Bronze! 225 front and 255 rear.

I believe you can stick with OEM wheels and put on some Azenis 615s and get a set of coilovers which will significantly improve your grip and handling.

P.S. get a more aggressive alignment while you are at it.

what was the profile of the rear tires? which tires did you use? and how was the car balance with only 225 width in the fronts and 275! in the back?

thanks,

i was thinking of getting the spoon fixed damper kit and spoon progressive springs.. is it a good idea? i track the car only once a year but i want to see improvments over last year

i dont like the adjustable stuff coz ill always get confused on choosing the best setup.
