Te37/le37 Help!!
im planning to order my set of LE37s this week...but i want to make sure of the offsets....Volk suggest +48 in front and +50 in rear...i know the 50 in the rear will not be a problem..but the real question i have is if my Brembos would clear in the front with a 48 offset...can anyone help me out.....thanks guys
To answer your question, well it all depends. I have the Spoon calipers and know for a fact the TE37 wheels would not even be close due to the curvature of the wheel and the offsets.
I had +35 front SW388s and moved upto a +42 front Work wheel. I am still running the big calipers. The curvature of the Work wheel along with the low offset helped with the clearing of the bigger calipers. Even though a +50 front sounds very good it may not help in the caliper department. You may have to run extended studs and a spacer.
For the record if you have a +50 offset front, unless you have crazy huge tires you should be fine at stock height. Even if you lower it 1-2 inches you will be fine with the right tire for the size of the wheel. If you have a crazy drop like me over 3 inches and still want everything to clear, well you may have to experiment with tires. PM me because I have had SO2s, SO3s, Yokahamas, etc. I will give you the best info I can provide you due to the experimenting I have done with over 7 sets of wheels and tires I have had over the past 2 years.
Good luck..

I had 48 offset with 17"X7.5" rims running 225 GForce KDs and never rubbed a time on front.
A 54 offset with an 8.5" rear running 255 GForce KDs rubbed every time I hit a firm bump. I am not talking excessive or extra large bump, but a firm bump. Put a passenger in the seat and take a corner hard and hit a bump and you quite a large rub.
That's why I was concerned with a 50mm offset in the rear.
I am in the market for new rims (mine were stolen) and the 50mm offset is scaring me on the Volks. Work also has offsets that many people haven't been able to make work.
I like 'em both!

I have BBS RGR's with 18x7.5 50 and 18x 8.5 53 and i do not rub. Blues2000boy has them too lowered 1.5 inches and he doesnt rub.
the 17'' BBS RGR's are 17 x 7.5 48 and 17x8.5 55. The rears are better, but the fronts are a little more agressive but my customers who have them do not rub and have not complained at all. Do your research, but FYI, BBS with 53 or 55 do not rub with the RGR model, I cannot speak from experinece with the BBS LM.
