Thumbs down For Those Running 5mm Spacers

Did you guys keep the OEM studs or did you install longer studs?

It would be quite embarassing for my wheels to fall off...

I just purchased some 5mm spacers. I have aftermarket wheels and with the spacers there was only 4 turns on my lug nuts before they tightened.
I think you will need longer studs.

Up. I'm interested to know how they work with stock AP2 wheels.

I would love to know about this as well since I wouldn't mind a 3-5mm spacer on my stock rims....

here's a picture of my 25mm H/R spacer with integral studs. This is the safe method from what people tell me if you want large spacers.

if it takes 4 rotation to tighten then i would get longer studs for sure...then if they are too long just nut them and cut to size... if you are going large with the spacers then the above option (pictured) would be best..

Sorry for this shameless plug ...but I'm selling my brand new, never opened 5mm H&R Spacers here:

I test fitted the H&R 5mm spacers on my rears last night (center bore is too large in the front for them to fit flush against the hub) with stock wheels and got barely under 5 turns w/ finger tightening. I proceeded to torque them down but haven't driven on them yet. I'll report back on how it works out.

I attempted to place the longer studs I have on the car but it appears the hub has to be removed in order to do so.

So I'm over 100 miles on the rear 5mm spacers and no problems. I checked the lugnuts and retorqued them but they didn't budge so i guess all is ok for now.

I'm not sure why you would need more than 5 turns. 5 turns or 50, if it loosens itself past 2, the rest are coming undone quickly.
