Default Time for new wheels....

So I was driving to my friend's party last night and some drunk B**** came in my lane and I bent/curbed my OE front and rear on the passenger side. It looks like I'm in the market for new wheels, but I'm not sure if the ones I want will fit.

Here's the info:

17X7 5-114.3 43 offset for the front

17X8 5-114.3 42 offset for the rear

If I'm not mistaken, the front will fit, but the rear won't. I'm going to -2 camber in the rear and I'm willing to do just a bit more if it saves me from rubbing.

Will a spacer kit fix this? If so, would it have to be a 15mm kit or could I try 10mm?

How wide of a tire could I put on them with the offsets they have?

Thanks!!!!

You seem to not understand what a spacer does to the offset. Those rims have too little offset. A spacer would only make it worse.
For all of your questions, the answer can be found in the sticky at the top of this forum .................... "Wheel Fitment Guide".

exactly, spacers make the offset lower.
to make the offset higher, you would have to grind down the inside of the wheel hub - probably not recommended, however, it has been done.

you would have to run about -2.5 camber in the rear, roll the fenders, stretch the tire, and they should fit even if the car was lowered. You should have not have a problem in the front with about -1.5 camber.

The tire sizes I think would be best:

215/45/17
245/40/17

I think that's about right.

Wow, now I'm another official retard on s2ki = )

Anyways, I appreciate the information on the subject. I went to order the wheels today and they're on the boat from Japan. I can't wait that long!!

Guess I'll try to find another cheap alternative....Maybe I should put ap2s on it??

Many AP1 owners have done this.
