Default Tire break-in

Just got my brand new Kumho Ectsa MXs put on, first time I've changed all 4 tires (I was on my 1st set of fronts, second rears). From all your experience, how long before the tires are broken in? They're a little slick on the surface from being brand new, and I can feel that in the way it drives. I think like 100 miles or less should do it right?

You are looking at about 500 miles.

Post up how you like those MX's if you don't mind once you have them broken in. My friend is buying some for his Z to race with and we're just curious.
Thanks!

The MX's are pretty sweet so far, they haven't been broken it competely yet (as is the reason for this post) but so far i think they'll have performance comparable to the s02s, even with the slightly narrower tires in the rear. Seem like a slightly louder and rougher ride (just slightly) but so far I'm VERY pleased with the tires.

Kuhmo MX are UGLY TIRES. LOL. What's the deal with their sidewall design? No flames, but the good thing about them is that they're affordable, and have awsome grip. Which all that matters.

See ya next week

Hey, don't rip on my tires J/K, I actually kind of like them, throw some tire gel on there and they seem pretty sweet. And great grip and good price, but anyways

see you next week

The tire rack was great..definately easy and way cheaper than the local place- plus then you can find a better price for mounting too.
