Default tire choice?

well in the the next couple months here i will have my car out for the summer and i'm in need of some new tires.

i hav driven on the s02's and they were ok, i then got some rs2's and they griped good and had good reaction or w/e.

now i'm looking again and would like some advice as to what to put on.

now just some info to help you guys.

this year will be the first time it will be driven boosted. it wil be around 400whp on the street. now i know it won't get that good of traction with the amoun of power it has, but i would like something that i can drive to the local road course and race and also drive around town fine. if i can get 5-10,000 out of the tires i will be happy. as my rs2's lasted about 10,000 miles.

any help is greatly apprecited thanks

You need to upgrade to 17" rims and get some 275s at the rear to use that power. Given the money you spent on the turbo setup, spending $1500 more to get some 17x9 rears should be a drop in the bucket. But at least some $700 ap2 rims where you can easily run 255s and a 275 will squeeze on that rim too.

You might try the Sumitomo HTR Z III (not the II). And they come in 275.

I would agree with the 17" size wheels. In the 16" the best tire is the new Bridgestone RE01R. If I can help let me know.
