Default Tire question

I just purchased my used 00 s2k and the previous owner put 17" rims on it. My question is the rear tires are 215/50/17 aren't the stock 225 in the rear. Does this affect handling? Can I still put 225 on my 17's. I'm not very knowlegable about tires so any help would be apprecitated. Thanks

Unless they are ungodly skinny wheels (6") then yes, some 225's would fit fine. You'd be better stepping up to a 245 though since thats how wide the stock 225 really is. A good choice in tires would just be the stock tires from the AP2's.

The 215/50R17 is not a good size tire for the car either. You would be better with 205/50R17 front and 225/45R17 rear.
If I can help let me know.
