Well the Sumi HTR Z III's sure sound like a good tire and a good value.

Wonder if anyone has had them on for significant miles and could comment on their handling and wear over time - and what wheel sizes you have them on.

Those Enkei RP-F1 wheels look good and sure are light for the sizes, but not what I call affordable.
enkei is like sumiz version in the rim' world. light price unbeatable.

I have sumis for about 2.5K miles and right now they're are fine. I like them for the m oney you cant go wrong look for the sumi thread about 50 pages long many people and I have had reviews on these tires

i am running sumitomo htr+ (all season) on the rear right now.

coming from the re050, the sidewall felt butter soft.

would going to the htr z III give me any noticeable stiffness increase (no homo.)

also, on stock ap2s... would going to 255's in the rear be prefered, and keeping 215 up front? or better yet... what is the optimal size htrz iii's to get for stock ap2 wheels and supension?

Does anyone have experience with the Yokohama S-Drive tires? It looks like a good all-around choice for this car but I'd appreciate any experienced input anyone can offer. Thanks-Ken.

i've had them since february and have logged 7k miles. don't underestimate the price where price equals the performance because it doesn't. if the tires were bridgestones or michelins they would sell for twice the price. "i" didn't notice a huge drop off in performance compared to the RE050 in fact it understeered less with the 215/45-17 and is more nuetral at limit with the 255/40-17 and if it oversteers it comes slowly. just make sure you get the right stagger ratio with your wheels.

if you want more info there's 11 pages worth of post about the sumis...

there's 11 pages that would answer all your questions about HTRZ3.

HTR+ "all season" are completely different than the HTRZ3 that's a "max performance summer tire". that's like honda putting bridgestones RE960AS vs RE050.

never tried HTR+ and wouldn't ever out it on the S but I'm going to assume the sidewalls would be stiffer.

215/255 vs 215/245? i went with 215/255 to keep the stagger ratio closer to oem tires.

all this info is in the Sumitomo HTRZ3 thread..

anyone have experience with the federal 595? very popular among drifters, and supposed great wet traction, despite the aggressive tread. i just made a thread regarding them...
I don't have any experience with the 595's personally, but I have numerous friends who have made the switch to those and thats all they run now. As for the htr z III's, they seem to be a very popular choice.
