Default tire size on rpf1

I know the normal tires set up on the S that the front is always thicker than the back, now i wonder if its ok to run 215/40/17 in f and 245/40/17 in the rear? Will it effect anything on the handling or during autocross?

What size wheels do you have? I have RPF1s with 8 inch on the front and 9 on the back and I'm running 225/45/17 on the front and 255/40/17 on the back. The sidewall between those is roughly the same.

The 245/40/17 is ok (I would get 255 but not a huge difference) but the 215/40/17 is going to be a very small tire (not as wide and a thinner sidewall). It'll fit but if I were you I'd get the 225/45.

You would not want to run the 215/40R17 on the front. You can run the 215/45R17 and 255/40R17 rear. If I can help let me know.

Tks guys, well i actually found 2 rpf1 17x8 +45 with new 215/40/17 on them for sale, so i was planning them first for the front and then buy a a new set 17x9+45 for my rear and get tires for them and call it a day. Thats why i wanna make sure the set if its ok before i pull my trigger on the plan. But seems like i still need to replace a thicker tires for the front if i get them.

If you ran a 245/35 in the back it would be a match. This is going to lower your gear ratio to an equivalent rear end ratio of 4.30 and will effect your speedo a few mph just fyi.
