Tire Suggestion Request
Hi all.
I just picked up a 2001 stock. The back tires are shot and with weather being a little crappy, I need to replace immediately.
Id like to get tires that have these qualities:
very flat looking sidewides (love the look of these type tires)
tires that have that extra rubber that protects the lip of the rim
a somewhat confident feeling in the wet (not snow or slush)
maybe a warrenty?
and last it would be nice if the price point was around 100$ US.
Anyone have some suggestions?

I feel the front tires dont hit many of the desired marks id like and will be replacing them with something different when they wear out as well.
Go check reviews on tire rack.
You'll get much better information there.
What we can tell you, is what tire-size combos are good for the car. A thread on this: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/928...ap2-v1-wheels/

Honestly, most anything you get is going to be better than what you have in the front. In this situation I wouldn't suggest trying to match the front performance wise because they just aren't very good.
Two good suggestions in rear OEM size are:
Continental Extremecontact DW - $107
Hankook Ventus V12 Evo - $97

I went with the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo. First impressions (spirited drive home only) are very good. Even helped with the light feeling the car was getting sometimes at corner turn in.
Thanks for the suggestion deepbluejh!
Also, thanks everybody for the replies.
