Default Tirerack Lug nuts

I met up with a friend of mine the other day and he mentioned to me that generally the lug nuts that are sold with your wheel/tire set get stripped easily. He has a prelude and is on the road a lot, so I'm asking what are your experiences with the lug nuts that came with your tirerack wheel/tire combo. This is my daily driver so I want to make sure I can get to work without worrying about stripped lug nuts.

Thanks.

If you take them on and off correctly they should last the life of the car. That said I wouldn't buy cheap aftermarket aluminum. Steel FTW! Inspect the state of the studs and lug nuts at each tire change.

i agree...if it feels like the lugs are coming off/going on funny, stop and take a good look at the threads on stud and inside the lug.

...and don't forget to keep a set of OEM nuts with the spare tire.

If it is for track use I would change them every year and inspect them at every change.. They endure a lot more abuse than street wheels. They should not get stripped unless you cross thread them.
