Tires....
Hi all,
I have an '02 Acura TL Type S, came with Mich pilots, great tires but sucked in the rain and snow. VERY EXPENSIVE to replace.
I now have Dunlop SP Sports on it, better tires in the rain and snow but they are very noisy.
I contacted the tire rack who reccomended Continentals but i know nothing about them... they are cheap as hell though $399 for four. WOW!
Any recomendations?
Andy

I had Sumitomo HTR+ in 215-50-17 on another vehicle (also FWD) and was impressed for a compromise tire. I now have a set of 245-40-17 and 215-45-17 as daily drivers for my S2000. On the FWD vehicle I even took a few winter trips into the Rockys, laughing at the SUV's on the side of the road.
Pros: Dry (8 out of 10), wet (9), snow (6), low noise, very comfortable, reduced tramlining, symmetric tread (can rotate side to side), lightweight, and cheap ($76)
Cons: average wear (probably get 15k on S2000 rears, 10k with stock), soft sidewalls=slower response (also 11/32" tread to start), forget racing
