I understand that you are saying this from conventional wisdom. I am giving what I have found through actual use. The SO3's have terrible traction considering their tread wear rating.

They are terrible in the snow. SO2's are actually better for that.
Do not use any of these tires in snow

Actual use? Have you tracked them both? I will say that I have not tracked the 451's, but you've got to understand that the S03's were almost comparable to Falken RT615's. I will guarantee that Falken 451's don't come close to Falken RT615's in performance.

If you think S03's have terrible traction for your spirited street driving, maybe you need some R-Comps.
