Default Which tires for OEM AP2V2 wheels on AP1

Hey Guys,

I need new rear tires for the upcoming season.
The thing is, that I really hate the OEM S02 that are mounted on the AP2 V2 Stock wheels.
When driving along the German Autobahn during rainy conditions, the back of the car is so nervous that I left the speedway twice last year. There wasn't any traction at speeds like 80 kmh... Even busses and harvest machines passed me .

What will be the best choise for my AP1 with 17" OEM AP2 V2 wheels?

I need traction in every condition especially rain, since my car is daily driven.

Thanks alot,

L-X

I recently just bought Kumho SPTs 215/255 combo for my AP2 V1 rims on my AP1. Very good all around and decent price. Go on TireRack and do comparisons of this tire with others. You'll see what I mean and you can't beat the price.

The thing is that the S is sitting pretty low.
That's my car:

Due to the low setup the rear tires have a decent negative camber resulting in rapid tire wear.
Which tires are the best for slammed S2ks?
I beleive the OEM Bridgestones are fine for stock setups but with a negative camber they are crap.

So which rear tires should I get and which dimensions?

- Hankook Ventus Sport K104

- Kumho SPT KU31

245/40/17 (OEM size in the rear)
or will 255/40/17 better with the OEM AP2V2 wheels?

Please help me!

cya

AP2 V2 don't come with S02, should have had RE050. The S02 rears on AP1 wheels had very bad wet weather performance, RE050 is a much better tire in the rain.

But the S2000 is never going to have great traction in the rain because we have a short wheelbase, rear wheel drive, stiff suspension optimized for dry weather, and a limited slip differential.

RE050A Pole Positions are a great tire and very good in the rain until about the 1/2 wear point, then they lose performance pretty quickly after that.

the ku31 you put up is a tire I have had. I really liked it even on the rainy days. That is aka the kumho spt.

which dimensions do you guys prefer for mainly daily driving and some track days?

Stock: F: 215/45/17 - R: 245/40/17

what about the same dimensions all around? no or go?
If so, which ones?
And can the OEM wheels carry them?

Pls advice!

stick to a staggered setup for daily driving. You could bump it up to a 225/255 setup if you want.. they will fit just fine on your wheels and they shouldn't rub.
