Default tires at the track

i want to start getting into road racing and i dont know what tires i should run. what does everyone think?? i want to run a 225 in the front and a 245 in the rear.. stock rims! lol

Bridgestone RE01-R. probably the best tires that i have used on the track without going to an Rcomp.

The Hoosiers R6's would be the stickiest. I would say that the BF Goodrich R1's w3ould be easier to drive faster if you are a rookie. If I can help let me know.

actually, i want to look for more of a street tire. this is my daily and i want to learn on street tires first then gradually work my way up... any suggestions????

S02s work good on the street they will just wear out after 7-10k miles. They are OK in rain but not good for standing water. Do you get lots of heavy rain in Illinois?

well, its not too bad out here. but if it does rain i always have either my moms truck to borrow or i am also planning on buying a truck within the nexxt couple months.. Who makes the So2s???

Bridgestone Potenza S02 is the full name. It's the OEM tire for AP1s.

RE01R's should offer much better performance and are also a LOT cheaper.
