Default Totally confused.

I drive a '04. I was able to snag a set of ap1 rims for really cheap so now i'm looking to put a set of winter tires on them. I know pretty much nothing about tires so any help would be appreciated. I'm curious about both a suggestion on a type of tire. and maily what size i should get. I looked at the thred about using 245-45-16's on the rear but couldn't find any winter tires in that size. would a 245-50-16 work or is that completely different?

thank you.

Jonathan

for winter tires, a 205/225 setup will work just fine. wider tires make hydroplaning easier anyways. i'm running kumho asx's for the winter and they've been great so far. decent performance when it's warm and they did fine in the inch or two of snow we got the other day.
