Toyo Proxes Vs. Bridgestone ES02s
At 2000 miles when I got the car (2003 model) with ES02s I thought the handling grip and traction were the best of any car I've had, just fantastic.
I wore the back the tyres down to make them like slicks just as an experiment. They wore nice and evenly though, so the geometry and tracking was spot on.
I had a one serious moment in the wet when I totally lost the back end. There was no warning at all and it was scary and pretty violent inside the car, but no one else was on the road where it happened.
At 23000 miles with new Toyo Proxes T1-R at the front and T1-S at the back, and the geometry really well setup as well, I don't think it's as good as the new Bridgestones. They look good though.
I think I'll go back to ES02s or get SP03s which are pretty expensive though.

I have BFGoodrich g force T/A KDW tires and these tires are great dry and in the rain you will slip but let off the gas and the car straightens out. I have done alot of u turns in the rain and gave it gas and the tail kicked out sideways but once i let off i went down the road straight.
Fitzy, are running stock AP1 wheels? And if so, what size tires are you running? I'm just curious cause those are the tires I want to put on my S2k, so I'm looking for first hand experiences with the tires and sizes. Thanks for any help.
