TSW trackstar 5's... try and answer this Q!
I am thinking about trying out the new Trackstar 5's by TSW. The only problem is.. they don't make a 17x7, 17x8 setup. They do however make the 16x7 (+40) and for the rear would be the 17x8 (+40 or a +50). I am not sure what offset i will or even should run (w/tien s techs and rolled fenders).
What does everyone think about doing this 16f and 17r setup?
As far as tires go... I already purchased a set of Hankook RS2's at the end of last year and only have one autox on them. they are the 205-55-16 and the 245-45-16's. I would like to either run the 205's up front or do the 245's. I would then just have to buy a pair for the 17x8's on the rear.
If i do the 205's up front, would i need to do the 225-45-17's on back, or could i stretch some 235-40 or 245-40's on there?
...and if i do the 245-45-16's on front, would i screw up the handling going with 245-40-17's on the back??? Because technically, that just defeated the whole staggered setup, running front and rear 245's.
I know there are like twenty five thousand questions in this.... but feel free to shed your own opinions.
