Default Unstaggerd setup with AP1 wheels

im running unstaggered setup with the AP1 wheels (rear wheels on the front).
im worried because after putting the rear wheels on the front... there seem to be a gap, the wheel is not in all the way. i checked to see if anything was rubbing, but no signs on rubbing. i drove the car pretty hard that day but the car seemed stable.
can someone tell me if it is safe to run this setup or if i need to do any modifications to run this setup.

Of course it is not recommended but hey if you can handle it then sure why not..

if anything that is asking for total oversteer since not as much grip in the back now while still putting in the same power. watch your drivetrain if i were you... s2k is setup with the proper diameters of the rear wheel and tire but now you put a much lighter set up of the front wheel with a lot less friction things will change like MPH, mpg, rpms and friction... as for the rear

did you have the center bore of the wheel bored out? the rear wheels have a 64mm hole in them, the fronts have a 70mm hole. the holes are made to match up to the round center part that sticks out from the face of the wheel hub. if you don't get the hole bored out on the rear wheels then there's no way they're sitting properly on the front hubs and it could cause major problems.

You need to bore the rear rim to fit the front hub. The rear bore is smaller than the fronts ^^^ types faster than me also

look for local machine shops. i called one last week and they quoted me $35 per wheel (tires not mounted on wheels specifically.)

something else i read the other day that *should* work is using 5mm spacers on the front wheels. anything over a 5mm spacer isn't really safe without extended lug studs, and i haven't had a chance to measure the hub to see if it's less than 5mm or not. you would lose the hubcentric factor, but it seems to be commonly accepted that that's not a huge deal. either way, it would without question be better than the current setup you have.

either way, getting the wheels bored is the proper way to do it and wouldn't cost much more. i just threw that out there in case he has trouble finding a machine shop that can do it...

yah have them centerbored.

using a spacer might be novel but you are using all 4 wheels that are the same dimension im assuming. if you spring rates are even and you are changing the track width at the front (unless its making it more square as most of the time the rear is wider width) then it would make the car oversteer a ton more.

AP1's tend to over steer anyways so do be careful with this. remember that our cars were setup staggared with different (non square) front and rear spring rates and unsquare wheel and tire combos.

good luck
