Default Use My 16" AP1 Wheels on an HR-V?

I have an odd question and would like some opinions.

I have a 2001 AP1 and years ago I switched to AP2 wheels as many have. I recently purchased a 2017 Honda HR-V and want to have a snow tire set for it.

I'm wondering if the ap1 wheels sitting in my garage will fit and work well. The HR-V came with 17", 7.5' width, 55mm offset wheels. the 16" AP1 wheels are pretty close- 16" x 6.5" x 55mm and 16' x 7.5 x 65mm. Same bolt pattern.

Also would I buy the same size tires for front and rear and where should the wider rims go on this all wheel drive car that is mostly FWD?

Any help would be appreciated. I'm not much of a mechanical type!

I would bet the hub diameter is probably way different between the 2 cars. Running staggered wheels on the Hrv may be odd as well.

or potentially damaging to the differentials if its AWD I suspect. i would want equal tire size front to rear.

The widths are different. Not the diameters.

OP. Why not....try bolting them on?
