This will help you understand the diff:

The stock wheels/lugs have a ball seat
Most aftermarket wheels & volk lugs have the cone seat.

to all the people running aftermarket wheels .. make sure to keep at least 5 oem lugs in your trunk in the event of a flat.. you'll need em to mount the donut.

My car lowered 1". I was told because of this I can't run my spare tire because my front bumper would scrap the pavement. Is this correct ?

put it on and find out ... when i had to run the spare ... i didnt notice the car sitting any lower then it did with the stock wheel ..

but you cant be sure unless you try it .. measure from bumper to ground with wheel on .. then put on spare and measure from bumper to ground .. see if there is a difference

I would toss the spare and have a full size sitting around in the garage. At least a worn out full size tire. Then you can call a friend to bring you the wheel. Or do you not have friends?
