Default volk sf challenge

Salutations s2ki brethrin.

after being chewed out by you lot for my wheel choice, and screwed around by a local dealer. i decided to ditch the arospeed rs-gt's, and go for a much more respectable volk sf challenge in gold.(18 x 7.5 front, 18x8 rear)

problem is im getting misleading information about the offset. some sites are saying these wheels have a +48 max offset, others are saying +35 max offset. a +35 offset will require wider front fenders and rolling of the rear.

does anyone have these wheels with +48 offset? did u have 2 modify anything?what size tires do you have?

jim@tirerack your opinion would also be appresiated if your reading.

http://www.gruppe-s.com/Volk/volksfc.htm

I'd get 8" +48 front, 9" +48 rear.

If you are lowered with the 18x8/9 +48 you will need to roll the fenders in the back... If you aren't lowered you will be fine

Maybe its just me but i think 3500 for rims and no tires is insane i know for some reason people only like the top name brand wheels on this form but i see notting wronge with getting an average pair of wheels that look the same but cost over half less i dont mean cheap cheap but maybe konig enkie you get the idea i mean besides comming in more offsets whats the upside to have the most expensive rims you can find beside the name in the center

in all honesty mate yes these wheels are for the look at me factor, not that any one in my crappy little town would know what they are. most of them think my car is an mx-5.
but im only payin $2300 for them. and i love the look of them and they aint to heavy.
if you have any other suggestions for lightweight gold five spoke 18" rims with a polished lip it would be much appreciated.

sportmaxx 962, constuction? weight? avalible widths/offsets?
cheap wheels r usually heavy. im not the wealthyest guy on the planet, but i decided a couple of months back its not worth puttin cheap crap on your car. cause youll pay for it in the long run.
and i dont know what icw's are. but i can sympathize ,at least 50% of the cars down here are holden commadore's. if you dont know what they are google it, and cry yourself to sleep

Weight and price don't necessarily correlate. You can often find reasonably light wheels for reasonable $$$. And there are plenty of expensive wheels that are heavy (BBS LM are over 20 lb). "Cheap" (or "inexpensive") doesn't necessarily imply "crap", either.

What do the Volk SF's weigh?

Even if they're less then 15 lb., I still wouldn't even consider spending than kind of dough for wheels 1/2" narrower than OEM AP2 rear wheels.
