Default Volk TE37

Hey guys ,

i know this topic has prob been drained hard but need some help.

have a 05 ap2 and i want to get her some new shoes.

it will be set up for hard stree/track driving and not driven every day.

looking at VOLK TE37's. (white)

sizes
Rear - 17" x 9 (i think 9) - offset +50 -> tire 255-40-17 toyo R888
Front - 17" x 8 (i think 8) - offset +48 -> tire 225-40-17 Toyo R888

want to run slightly wider tires!

Does anyone think this is a decent setup? she will be lowered but not ridiculous on KW V3 suspension.

thanks for your time. appreciated.

cheers

This setup is pretty close to ideal for the street.

My advice would be to forego the wider tires and go with a higher quality tire instead. Wide tires are heavy, have high rolling resistance, and generally don't improve the driving experience on the street. 225/255 is perfect IMO.

In the 17" size, you would want:

225/45/17 - Front
255/40/17 - Rear

Many people run these sizes with great success.
