weight compensation
So you have thousands of dollars to fork out for dry carbon hood & trunk, while you just aren't willing to buy lighter forged wheels? Wtf are people smoking these days?
You prefer lighter weight YET you decided to go with 18s, with shitty width all around?

alright abuse aside im already a light weight, the wheels only come in 1 size and the look freakin sweet dont bother looking for them online ive only found pics of them in black and silver even on the manufactures site, as for getting some thing simular made at a lighter weight i wouldnt know where to start looking(suggestions). also let me make it clear unsprung weight is the issue im not really getting the dry carbon for the weight as the hood and trunk are already aluminum its more fore the look and a little weight reduction(so dont go suggesting i go out ant buy some carbon look contact, btw anyone know where to get a mugen carbon hood and an amuse carbon trunk) and what about the lightweight drive shaft does any1 have 1. and now im going to sound like a square can we stop abusing the noobs(me) we all own one of the greatest cars ever made we should b helping each other and sticking it up those v8 tank driving tools.

They also must have one hell of a seat of the pants performance meter...
Dry cf for looks..
damn man you must be loaded...
all bullshit aside,
you need to get your head straight before you go out and spend a fortune on dry cf.
a pound of unsprung weight equates to nearly 4 pounds of sprung weight... so do your calculations and see how much #s you need to shed in order to compensate for example, nearly 20 lbs total unsprung weight added.
You're gonna have to do ALOT of shedding.

No one is abusing you seriously. Grow a thicker skin and you'll take our words as lessons. Mugen hood or or whatever Amazing trunk will cost you a fortune, and all that JUST to compensate some weights you gained with your wheels. I seriously don't see how you HAD to pick those wheels. I don't think you did enough researches on wheels because I think there are plenty of better looking ones. Plus 7.5 width?? C'mon dude.

vic2000 ur probably right about doing more research but u gotta understand i live in a 1 s2k town and its 250 miles to the nearest wheel shop and wading the endless wheel sites will drive u mad sure i could of got some mad ass bbs's or volk's or something with a big name attached to them but these had the look i wanted and good looks are just a matter of opinion as for the size i can still run a 215 front and 235 rear or so im told any way we is getting of topic its about weight compensation not how shitty my choice of wheels are, and thoughts on driveshafts or axels even ive seen a carbon driveshaft on bulletproof 4 $5500 but thats plain insanity i emailed mike bratcher tho and he said a lot of the prices on the site need to b updated, and cheers to ritzblitz some usable advice, mor like ths people, and sorry no pics my phone my pc and i suc.
It's alright man. I just thought maybe you could have a look at member classifieds since a lot of nice wheels show up there in good condition. You could just have them shipped to your door. Better width will definitely benefit you in future. Main point I wanted to make was a bit more money you spent on your wheels for weight saving will be a lot less than what you have to spend on dry cf parts.
firstly vik2000 sorry for mis spelling ur name, secondly i will hav a squizz at the user ads, thirdly i am keeping my stock enkei's 4 the strip so whats the harm in getting a third set of wheels im already getting multiple front lips and rear bumpers so i can go for different looks on different days, lastly no im not some rich kid i work my ass of for my money and ive spent to much time in a virtual car making world where i can chop and change car parts its not so easy in real life real parts cost real money oh well dig dig chop chop
