What is the difference between the RE050 vs RE050?

I'll need to order a set of rears. Just wondering what the difference is between the OE RE050 vs the RE050a.

If you click on the Tirerack.com website, you can learn all about them. OEM sizes may not ne available to you though.

re050a stands for asymmetrical design. not a directional tire like the oem re050. jim told me same type of tire, so ok to mix and match with oem.
