Default What do you suggest, 17's or 18's?

I am this close to getting some Tenzo R Sinko R rims and tires. But not quite sure whether I should get 17" or 18". It is not a daily driver I am just after looks and maybe save some weight. The size I am looking at is 18 x7.5 wheels and 215/35/18 front and 225/40/18 rear. What offset should I get? All of your opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Looks-18
Save some weight-17

I'm not sure it's a good idea to go with 7.5" front and rear, but if you're just after looks, go for it.

I have 18's. I never thought about 17's. With 18's and a 40 series profile you get almost the same exact wheel/tire diameter as the stock 16's, at least I did. It looks good even with out a drop.

I love my 18's!!!! Go through Tire Rack; they're very helpful and thorough.

i plan on lowering my s2000 when i get it in about 2 weeks and i was wondering if i will have issues with 18" with 35 series if i plan on doing an agressive drop like 1.5-2.0" drop thanks

Seems that your original offset question has not been addressed. Also you seem to have an unbalanced combination of needs - drop with 18's with 7.5's ?? - put all the pieces together into a cohesive plan. I went with a 63 offset in rear - A rare offset - perfect! At least 9 inch rears - or is your goal to turn a performance car into a powder puff ? Seems like a waiste of a perfectly great car. I told Bob Dylan and I'll tell you - You can have your cake and eat it too. Also, don't assume that buying from a list from tirerack.com and opening up this subject is a safety net/substitute for doing research - unless you want good enough - which translates to - don't go over any bumps - or gee, I'll have to pave over that dip at the end of my driveway.
