Default what size tire will work?

Had a question on tires for my MY01. It sits on Enkei DM5s but i have zero idea what the offset is. The wheels were on the car when I bought it and are 18" all around. From looking around I'm pretty sure it's just a +2 upgrade from tirerack or those other guys. It originally had 265/35/18 on the back but they rubber over any decent bump. I dropped them down to 225/40/18 but would like something a little meatier if possible. Any chance anyone can steer me in the right direction even though i'm unaware of the offset? I was hoping I might get a 245 or 255 under there although the local places say they will rub and a 265 will not (but it does!). Thanks!

i take it the offset would be stamped somewhere inside the rim of the wheel?

here's a couple pics of the wheels on the car, not sure if that helps?

I would say don't go any wider than a 245/35R18. Even that is going to stick out. By the way the offset should be stamped in the casting of the wheel on the backside. It should read EY and a 2 digit number.
