Default What size wheels and tires are recommended?

I pick up my s2 on Sat. and the first thing I'd like to do would be to replace the stcok rims. It's a 2000 model, my preference for wheel size is the bigger the better aesthetically, but I definitely don't want any rubbing and I don't want the handling to suffer. I figure it'll end up on the track before long. Can you all assist in recommending the appropriate sizes?

Thanks - I'm sure I'll have more questions.

You can go with either 17" or 18" no problem. You can run a lot of different sizes for tires depending on the width and the offsets of the wheels.
If I can help let me know.

I know there's tons of different combinations. That's why this gets a little confusing. I would like a larger wheel, preferrably an 18. as for the offset, i'd like something to extend far enough out to where it's close to being flush w/ the fender. as for tire size, I'm not sure, low enough of a profile so as not to rub. and wide enough to get good grip w/o being excessive. i would also like something that's an all season tire. I don't know if that's enough information for you to spec me out the exact size for a tire and wheel combination or not. i hope so. then i can look and see what's available for the car. that's the other thing - if i serach by car, i only get maybe 10-15 options. i like the SSR GT7's and some of the black Rota wheels but didn't see them when searching by car. would i just tell you the wheels I like and you could see if they were available in the size needed and then give me a price?

if you can help, i'd greatly appreciate it.

thanks again

don't get an all season. get good summer tires that perform in the wet, and then put some snow tires on your stockies for the winter
