Yep, minimum means lowest. Keep in mind that these numbers were taken from data that was based on cars at stock ride height, no fender rolling, and stock alignment. You CAN use lower offsets than these, but you will most likely rub unless you do one or more things to get more clearance.

so, if i get a lower offset than that chart says, the wheel will be closer to the inside of the car, right?

No. Other way. Which is why it's hard to find proper wheels for this car.

since the offset is below all those minimums, i would have to use a tire smaller than listed... right?

Depends on the tire used. Look at the chart again in the first post. You need a certain minimum offset for a certain TIRE width.

If you look at the chart, for a 50 offset for the front, you are between +48 and +53, which would be somewhere between 215 and 225. To be safe, go with 215. If you want to push it a bit, try a 225.
