Default Wheel Fitment help

Okay ive read a lot on the forums and I have been looking at a few wheels but can't make up my mind on a few but more importantly on fitments.. I know this much that i want to run 255 tires all around..will consider 245 front. I dont mind pulling/ rolling my fenders. I want an aggressive look.

Was looking at - Volk CE28N
- Volk TE37
- scanned rota's but i dont think i want a replica heard some bad things about them?
- SSR type F..
- or any thick 5/6 spoke that catches my eye..

my s2k is Black and was looking to go with Bronze wheels. Debating between a 17 x 9 and 17 x 9.5 in wheel.

I guess this is my question .. with the offsets.. say your running flush with a +40 offset and a 9.0 in wheel..if you go to a +32 im assuming the wheel is then sitting 8mm farther outside and if i would go with a 9.5 +40 is that the same as running a 9.0 + 32 since the wheel is 8mm thinner but the offset is 8mm farther out??..is it as simple as it sounds?.. the problem with the volks is their just so damn expensive. Any help or wheel suggestions would be appreciated.

just looking for Function, all 4 matching size, track performable, and aggressive look. Thanks

I think you have the offsets down. 17 x 10 +45 CE28 would be perfect but they aren't cheap.

A 9" +32 sticks out about 2mm more than a 9.5" +40. The 9.5" will fit easier because the tire will slightly stretch. Check out www.willtheyfit.com

Yes Volk wheels are expensive but no one is going to stop you from saving up for them. :-) I have 17x9.5 +49 all around with 255/40 and I love this setup.

For volks I would look for a good used set. There some good deals out there you just have to look and maybe not be to picky on color (you can always refinish them). Enkei also has a lot of good function oriented wheels that are light and come in a number of different sizes and offsets. There are other options besides the RFP1's that everyone runs. Look in the vendor area.

You are dead on with offsets. Basically the wider the wheels the high the offset needs to be for it to fit the same as a narrower wheel. Just make sure to roll your fenders before you put the wheels on.

I just picked up an 03 s2000 last week and all 4 tires are shot so I decided to buy wheels and tires together.

Some people tell me to stick with a staggered set up because of various reasons, design, safety ......

what is your opinion?

go with the same size wheels as you all around 17x9.5" +49....
the car is completely stock including suspension...

I have a set of Motegi SP10's 18x8 +42 with 245/40/18's.... from my old car but I dunno if they will fit plus I heard 18's will make an s2000 look like a monster truck... especially with factory suspension.

If the Motegi's don't work (doubt they will) I'm going to sell them and I would like to buy a nice deep dish bronze wheel.

thanx in advance for any helpful reply's.
