Default Wheel fitment question

Planning on picking up some 17x9 + 40 fronts and 17x9.5+40 rears with 255/40's. My car is currently stock height but I have coilovers coming in and planning on dropping my car 1.25-1.5. Would I have trouble running this set up? What should I need to do?

With that low of an offset and the 9" wide wheels it will be tough to do. Maybe a stretched 225/45R17 front would buy you more room.
If I can help with the tires let me know.

No no. Roll your fenders and get an alignment. You will need at least 2.5 degrees up front. I have 17x9 +43 with a 245 and it fits fine. You may think about doing the 245 instead of 255 to keep a little stagger. The rear is the same thing. Roll tab relo and alignment. 2.5-3 degrees will be needed.

I agree, just do 245/255 staggar. That would look the best, perform very well and offer a better trouble free ride.
