Default 17x8 17x9 +40 tire options

Car is lowered on Buddy Club coils, fenders not yet rolled but could be done if necessary. What is the recommended tire size for this setup? I'm super newb at wheel specs.

Thanks guys.

225-40 and 255-40. Roll those fenders that's a deep offset for stock camber

Go with 215/45/17 and 245/40. Roll the fenders and then, if needed, get an alignment and some camber.

I'd definitely go 225/255 on those.

Just answered this same question in another thread. Your offset is 20 less than stock and your wheels are wider than stock. You need to roll your fenders with either of the tire options listed.

I have an AP1 if that matters. So if I roll the fenders 215/45/17 and 245/40 would be the *safest*?

yep. And you will probably need to realign your car, specifically more negative camber. So don't be surprised if you roll and put these on and still rub with doing that. You can can gain/lose about 5mm+ clearance in camber settings, and without knowing where you currently are, its some guess work.
