Default Wheel Issue

My driver side wheel sticks out farther than the passenger side, anyone know why this could be?
sticks out toward the fender more..

Let me guess, you found a good deal on a used set of wheels, the previous owner didn't disclose that he damaged one of them and replaced with the wrong offset by mistake so decided to sell them.

Distance from back or rim to caliper is the same and they are new rims

check if the tires are the same size and if it is, then swap it to the other size but check the offset on the rims to see if they are the same. If the offset are the same and after you swap the wheels and the driver side still stick out like before, then you probably need a alignment. maybe you have more toe out on the driver side. If the offset is the same, then the only culprit I could think of would be an alignment that is way off

Have you ever had hub centering rings on the car? If one is stuck on the hub it could cause a wheel to be sitting off of the hub.
