Default wheel lugs and their strength

I remember reading somewhere that rays lugs cant be used with air tools and there was some shattering issues, as they were not as strong as the oem. Is there any validity to this? i had oem bolts but i moved to the black rays when i blacked out my wheels, now that im going back im wondering if for the sake of saftey should i go back to the oem? thanks.

what wheels are you going to? ig its oem wheels you need the oem lugs as technically the seats are different than aftermarket wheels.

the oem wheels use a bulge seat and aftermarket wheels have a conical seat.
