Default Wheel rec for ap1 on track

Hello, could I get some advice for a wheel for track use. I just found out I need to replace my volk racing wheels. I am currently using 225/45/17 in front and 255/40/17 in rear. More interested in performance vs looks. Thanks.

OEM wheels work great. You can scratch them and get them covered in a good layer of brake dust and not care. If you bend one, replacements are easy to come by.

Yep, AP2 stock wheels worked fine for me. And if you paint them with Duplicolor wheel paint, you can't even tell there is any brake dust! Win/win.

Thanks. Are the offsets the same in all oem wheels? Or do I need to get wheels made for the 2000 s2000 (year of my cat)? Did they make 17 in wheels in 2000?

Nope 2000-2003 are 16s, and narrower front and rear. The AP2s are 17x7 +55 and 17x8.5 +65. Believe the AP1 are 16x7 +55 and 16x8 +65. The 16s are lighter but there are more overall tire choices for the 17s. It's a bolt on swap though.
