Default 19#s per wheel too heavy???

I was looking at some wheels in 17" that are forged... The spec states that they are 19#s per wheel, I was wondering if anyone thought these were too heavy. Also, can anyone provide proper offset if they were 17x7 front and 17x8 rear. Please advise...

thanks in advance.

45 for front 17X7

50 for rear 17X8

Should be fine.

19lbs for a 17" forged wheel soundswrong.
There are a lot of 17" cast wheels that weight 16-20 lbs each.
Most 17" forged wheels are like 12-14lbs. SSR Comps, Racing Hart CP8-R, etc.
Forged are much stronger and lighter, also more $$$.
I would suggest you look around some more.

17.8, 18.6 and it depends on HOW the forging process is done. Not all forged
wheels are lightweight. Check ROJA wheels. Some of their designs are forged
and are actually pretty weighty.
FWIW, 19-lbs is not bad for a 17-inch wheel (about average). Mine weigh 14.7-lbs
but this is very rare for a cast wheel which almost always, will outweigh
a forged wheel inch for inch. However, a forged wheel is certainly not immune
to being bent from a pothole. I've seen my fair share.
If you can't get the offsets right for that wheel, save your money and go with
one that has the proper offsets with a bit lighter weight. In the end, the quality
will be better as well.
