Default Wheels for AutoX'n in AS class

To autocross in this AS class in the SCCA you are required to run wheels that have the OEM size and offset. Well, if I want to get a set of R compound tires to run (which is within the rules) I need to get a set of wheels that match OEM specs. This means 17"x7" front and 17"x8.5" rear, but I am not sure of the OEM offsets. Or at least I can not find it weeding through all these sizes listed on this site and I have yet to remove teh wheels off my car and the owners manual doe snot specify the wheel offsets.

Aside from the OEM rims and the SSR GT7 rims, what else is available in OEM spec sizes and are less than the OEM rims cost?

Also, what is the torque specs for the 2005 wheels? The owners manual has 80ft lbs for the spare, but I can not find anythign for the alloy wheels.

The TireRack has the SSR GT7 in 17"x7" w/ +50mm offset for $309 and the 17"x8.5" w/ +62mm offset for $329.

BTW, I own a 2005 S2000.

After much looking and not much finding, I bought a set of stock 05 rims used.

The offset is F55 R65.

You will not find anything else out there with factory offsets unless you want to have custom wheels built by someone like Kodiak.

I will be running Falken Azenis RT-615 in 225/45/17 and 255/40/17 for AS Autocross

This is a set up to run for fun as to be competitive you will need to run R-Compound Hoosiers, Khumo etc.

Good Luck

Here was my solution:

Used OEMs are a lot cheaper now so I'm not sure this is worth the trouble. Also check out the Racing and Competition forum, where Orthonormal is trying to get enough people so that Rota can make custom OEM sized Circuit 10s.

The GT7's make a good choice because they are lighter then stock. The offsets are also close enough to stock to be legal I believe. I guess it depends on the rules in your area too though.
