Wheels offset importance!
The size below are the offset on a S2000 would be completely dangerous right? My friends dad is running this size on his car and I told him these would be potentially life threatining if he drove with these on. Because the rear understeer could make him loose control among other things. He wont believe me does anyone else here agree judging by the specs below? Let me know so I can print it out judging by your comments and Ill prove it to him! Thanks yall

You can post this in the tire/wheel forum. I'll move it for you.
ps. Although those offsets are quite low, they are not "life threatening". They will simply push the tires further out from the car. "Understeer" is a function of the front tires not holding grip with the road and thus, they begin to "plow". What the rear end can do is if it loses traction and then you have "oversteer" (the back end slides out). What critical information you left out is the width of the rims, the stagger of the rims and the size of the tires. The width and stagger of the tire will have more bearing on the "dangerousness" of the car.

Based off the information that you've given it sounds like he wants to run a NON-staggered setup with 8"rim widths front/rear with same tires front/rear (although you did not say this specifically).
Based on that assumption, you will indeed have oversteer and the rear will have a tendence to step out. Depending on how your friends dad drives they will be fine for street use but any type of spirited driving could cause problems in handling.

If he is indeed running the same 8" rims on all 4 corners, this is still OK. He can still be running staggered tire sizes, in which case, his handling will be quite acceptable, however, if he's running the same tire size on all 4 corners, then take note of what SIIK2NR said.
