I need your guys help. I have a set of Volk CE28n (bronze) 17x9 +40. I need help on figuring out tire sizes for it without doing any type of fender work. My S is lowered on Buddy Club N+ coils. My plan was to wrap them in BFGoodrich G-force summer tires, I wanted to do a square 255x40. Will this cause rubbing in the fronts? How would ride quality be? Would fender roll/ tab reloc be required?

In case we aren't being trolled, there is NO tire size that would work without touching the fenders. You need a good fender roll front and rear to make that work and the front is going to require a flare/pull with a 255. 255/40 will work in the rear with a roll but I would consider a 245/40 or even 235/40 up front.

 

There is no tire that will not require fender work. The fronts would need a pull as well as the roll. The rears would need a roll and tab relo and an alignment all around.

I can't totally blame people for coming on here and asking these questions. On the one hand you have the sticky, with lots of good information about what will fit and what won't. Then, on the other hand you have people showing up in these kinds of threads saying, "Yeah, sure, it'll fit no problem." It can be confusing.

Then you have vendors who show up to say that a 17x9 +40 is an "OEM fit," and when pressed on the inaccuracy of that statement they follow up with, "Oh, well, it just requires a roll+pull+relocate, so we consider that 'OEM.' "
