When should I put on my Blizzaks?
Any advise for when I should have my LM-22s put on for the winter (Chicago)?
I think I once read that performance tires start to lose their grip when temps drop to about 40 degrees. Does that mean that when it starts to hit 30-40 degrees on a regular basis that the snow tires should go on?
I know the risk of not having them on when I need them, but what's the drawback of putting them on too soon?

As soon as you put on your LM-22's, the dry road handling limits of the S2000 will be significantly lower. You then need to reduce your driving aggressiveness accordingly. Of course, the other negative thing is that as long as you drive on dry, warm roads, the LM's will wear much faster. However, will a couple of weeks of wear really bother you knowing that you are prepared for that first dump?
