there was a time, back in the day, that raised white letter tires were all the rage.

The only good reason to have white letter tires (particularly on a car as beautiful as the S2k) is if you're getting consideration from the tire manufacturer (i.e. free product or $$$).

You look for the designation RWL (raised white letters) in the tire description. I doubt you will find performance tires with RWL. Plenty of SUV tires although even that is more raised white outline letters.
