Default Why on earth does the tire rack have a forum???

I'm not against the Tire Rack. In fact I've been Buying Wheels and tires from them since '87... I even drove out to meet with Wayne Luthold for lunch while they were fitting a set on my car (Great Guy, awesome driver) Great people great prices... Now that's said.

I find it goofy that they sponser a message board section on this site when they only offer 2 rims for this car (out of hundreds they have for other cars)...

So I would like to say to the Tire Rack... "How bout offering a few more rims?" Or perhaps investigating the wheels you have at more depth, as I know, some of the other rims you carry will fit, but haven't been actually tested.

My 2 cents.

I second that. I have been thinking about this since this forum opened. You are telling me that out of all the many rims Tire Rack has only 2 fit? Seems like they could go through the warehouse or pull up the computer screen and do a quick check on what they offer that is acceptable with an S2000. How about weights and offsets posted as well so that we don't have to call them or e-mail them to find out. I would much prefer to find all the specs online and just order them than going through all the e-mails and crap to decide on my final choice.

Because tire rack sells more than wheels. They sell TIRES too.

I agree that it would be cool if they offered more rims for the car. They have already posted that they are going to be adding the SSR Competitions(sp) to their line up.

Keep in mind there are only a handfull of rims that will "fit" the car and most of them do not fit correctly (offset).

Krazik's answer: PC

The un-PC answer: Why does 3COM have a stadium? The don't build stadiums.

Just a reminder: For the board to benefit from your tire purchases, you need to make them through the board link. We should all make sure we do this if we are buying from The Rack.

Well they are making progress...

3 wheels are now listed. The new wheel is a OZ Superleggera, which I would love to get!

I love the Tire Rack I have bought my last 10 sets (yeah 40 tires) from them. I'm sure they are trying their best to find wheels for our cars. Plus you gotta love the fact you can see how the wheels will look on your car on the site.

Their model S2000 has SSR GT1's in 18" but they are not available on their site? Only goes up to 17"? There are no 18" wheel options available. Come on guys!

My wife's year end bonus is coming up soon and it is almost my birthday! I'd love nothing more to support a board sponser but if you don't have the website together I'll have to go somewhere local.

We currently have 4 wheels listed for the car on the web site in different sizes. We are also working on other fitments like the SSR Competition in 17" and 18".
We are also working with a new supplier that will be coming out in the spring.
You have to remember that you have a limited production vehicle with very high positive offsets and differnt size wheels front and rear.
We do also sell other things for the cars like tires, springs, coil over suspension and brake pads for the cars, as well as a few wheels.
We have done all the homework on the car and the wheels that are on the site currently are all we have at this time.
The other things is everyone that posted said they do buy from the Tire Rack and we support our customers. I personally do not get paid to work the board but do so for the added exposure and I like the car and hopefully the board members will place their orders through me.
We are working on more wheels and they will be coming out soon. If anyone has any other questions let me know.
Thank you
