Default Why I hate the Tirerack website

I hate the Tirerack website. I want to be able to pick a wheel, see all the sizes that Tirerack carries right there. I might not want standard S2000 offsets, because maybe my S2000 isn't standard, maybe it's lowered, maybe I have rolled/stretch/flared fenders. I want to see what offsets the Gold SSR TYPE C RS's wheels come in, but I have to pick a car first. Well I want non staggered 17x8.5 or 17x9 wheels both front/rear. I need to see what offsets these widths come in so I know what will fit with my set up. I wish Tirerack would allow you to look at all wheel fitments without them pushing your vehicle in stock form and the appropriate offsets down your throat. End rant. What's your opinion?

It's annoying as hell. If you shop by brand and click SSr then click on Type C RS, you should be able to see every size like you can with their tires.

Just call in and ask. Your car is very specific though with different center bores and very high offsets. If you want to do somehting that is off the charts just give me a call.

yeah what were they thinking making the website user friendly for 95% of the population

my guess is that they have all sizes that the manufacturers make......if not instock they can be ordered.......buy why go through the middle man if you are ordering something specific?

We do clearance drawings of the cars brakes and fenders. We can not suggest something that would cause rubbing because of the way we sell. We don't work on margins where we can afford to ship tires and wheels back and forth across the country. Some people will not roll a fender lip or modify anything to the car to make something fit and others will. There may be wheels that would or could fit with modifications to the car.
All you have to do is give me a call or email and ask.

I think they do that to protect some people from themselves. I just ordered a set of tires ( probably the 20th set over the years) And I have to agree that getting to the checkout takes 3 times as long as it used to. This by the way is my 6th set of rears on my S2000.
