Default Widest tires possible on my wheels?

Hey guys,

Welp this is my first post on s2ki and I've done ALOT of reading but still need help. My friend is selling these Buddy Club P1s for pretty cheap and I'm thinking of buying them the specs on them are: 16x7 with +42 offset. so my question is if I do get these what are the widest tires I can get? I have read the wheel fitment guide and other related posts but I cannot seem to figure it out. I was thinking of getting 215 up front and 245 in the rear but I'm not sure if they will fit. I am going to drop the car about an inch soon and I don't mind rolling the fenders. Also what tires should I get my main concern is the price but quality is my second priority. I don't track the car but I do go on mountain runs every now and then.

All help would be appreciated, Thanks!

17s would be a better upgrade. Why dont spend your money on a set that

1. Has a more friendly offset
2. That is staggered correctly
3. Can accommodate a better/wider tire

Sure, you can stuff a 245 on a 7" wheel, but the sidewall rigidity is compromised at that point and you've essentially wasted your money. Use it wisely

The reason I was thinking of buying them was because of how cheap they are but thanks for the input! im going to start looking for 17s

Don't bother. They aren't an upgrade over your oem wheels. Tire selection is terrible. Take whatever money you'd spend on these and put they toward a good set of 17's. They will cost more but you will actually see an improvement for your money spent.

He's selling them for $250 so thats why I was interested but yeah I like oem better anyways just cant find any at the moment and the previous owner of the car decided he wanted a monster truck s2000 and put 19s on. Would it really be that bad if I were to get them? Even as temporary? I just need something smaller while I save up for nicer wheels.

Now see the info about what's on the car currently is really important. In that case they are probably better. There isn't any oem ap1 wheels or ap2 wheels available anywhere near you? That seems unlikely. Find your local subforum and post in there that you want some oem wheels. I bet you'll find some.

So i ended up not buying the oem wheels as they were already sold but i decided to just put some more money in for some nicer wheels and i really want 17" nt03's but from what I've seen so far they only come in 17x7.5 +40 and 17x9.5 +38. My question is will any of those fit? i don't mind relocating the tabs and rolling the fenders but according to what i read +40 all around is not ideal for the s. UGH its so frustrating finding the perfect wheels that will fit my car!!

They can fit with a fender roll and tab relo. Will need more camber than if the offsets were higher but plenty run them.
