Will this wheel setup work?
I was searching around bro I think I'm going to start tracking my car so I think I will do 17s but I really really want some light wheels and I love the rpf1 or the rp03s what would b good setup if u know much about track setups 17x? With gold tires for daily and track days I would say once every 2 months or so my shop always invites me i never go but after seeing thier rb26 240 I wanna go
Ah if you are tracking, 17s are the best option because tires for 18" wheel can be double the price of 17s (don't ask me why).
Anyways, that being said, you really need the higher offsets in that case to avoid rubbing. I went to my first track day and I used my AP2 stock wheels and they worked out pretty well. If you don't have them and want to upgrade, you have several options. Most experienced track guys have found that a nonstaggered setup works better than staggered for the track (but takes more skill to control). A lot of guys rub the 17x9 +45 RPF1 all around, but this takes fender work front and rear. Now, there are a lot more options with the higher offsets so you don't have to do as much fender work. I had posted this in a different thread:
^Yep, for the most part a 17x9 +60 and above setup is plug and play. There are a few wheels in this size...anyone else feel free to add to it
-6ULR 17x9 +63 (Discontinued till next year)
-TR Motorsports C3 17x9 +63 (Only find on Tire Rack...cheapest option)
-Enkei PF01 17x9 +60 (Come in blak or silver)
-TSW Interlagos 17x9 +63 (Black or machined)
-TSW Nurburgring 17x9 +63 (Bronze, gunmetal, and machined/gunmetal)
-Advan RG-D 17x9 +60 (Black, gold, and silver)

-Volk CE28N 17x9 +63 (Bronze, silver, Genesis edition)

-Volk RE-30 17x9 +63

-Buddy Club P1 - 17x9 +63
-Rays G07WT - 17x9 +63
-Volk TE37 Seibon Edition - 17x9 +65 (Black/red time attack look. Usually sold as staggered set but may be able to ask seller for nonstaggered)

In additon, there are a couple wheels in other sizes that might work:
-Spoon Racing Wheel 17x9.5 +63 or 17x8.5 +53 (Ugly colors, plus it's expensive for a cast wheel, but it's SPOON. Edit: They do have plain silver. This above would make a great staggered setup (size/offset). Could run a 245/275 combo)

-SSR Type C or Type F - 17x8.5 +58
-SSR Type C or Type F - 17x9.5 +65
-OZ Allegerita - 17x8.5 +59
-Volk CE28N - 17x9 +54
Also, the tire choice you run will make more difference than the wheels being lightweight. Some of the best tires guys have found are the Dunlop Star Specs and Hankook RS3s. I am running the Hankook V12s (partly because they had a rebate deal) and they held up ok at the track.

Oops sorry didn't specify I ment road racing. S2000 not the best drag car lol and I was thinking about doing the hankooks I've had the v12s on my g35 for daily loved them never tracked them tho. What tire size would you recommend on the 17x9 front and rear?
Haha yeah, S2000 is not good for drag racing. Most people run 255/40/17 on the 17x9s. The Advans are nice, but expensive (as all Advans and Volks are). Another idea to keep in mind is shopping the classifieds on here. Some people sell used wheels that can end up being a good deal.
What exhaust are you going with? Keep in mind that the exhaust, intake, and test pipes generally don't net many horsepower on this car, but it will have a nice sound. It will also give weight savings.

It's between 4 singles greddy tic 70mm the Hks single 75mm, lite spec titanium or I really really want the j's racing 70rr with the private label header heard great things about that header on ap2s gains up to 10whp.
And that would be it for my engine mods until I decide on a turbo or sc most likely it would b sc because I dd my car

Sorry but what do u think of these wheels http://www.evasivemotorsports.com/me...Code=TENZO-DC5
Cheap temporary wheels
I would not do them. And they are not that cheap, compared to Enkeis. With that offset, you would have same fender modifications to make as the RPF1s in +45. Why get cheap temporary wheels? Especially ones that are heavy and don't fit well. You may as well save up for what you really want. Plus, you'll have a really hard time reselling those wheels.
