Default Winter Tires

Ok, here is my situation. When I bought my s2000 the owner gave me a new set of winter tires that were never mounted that fit the OEM rims. About a year ago I bought some new wheels and summer tires. For the hell of it I had the unused winter tires mounted on the OEM wheels since they were collecting dust. I don't drive the car in the winter so the wheels and tires are no use to me, or are they?

My daily driver is an 08 Sonata and it's tires still probably have another year in them. But would I be better off putting my S2K wheels on my Sonata for the winter and would they fit? I would imagine winter tires would be much better than aged all season tires. The stock wheels on the sonata are 17s and 215mm in length. I believe both cares have the same bolt pattern. I am just unsure if it would be ok to have a staggered set up on the car and if the offsets would be ok. Also I have heard that the stock s2k wheels and lugnuts are different than most?

Basically I am wondering if this would be a good idea and if it is possible. a 2nd set of wheels and winter tires for my daily driver would be close to $800 and I don't see any need to buy them when I have a set in my basement.

I dont know that I would stager on that car. You would be better selling the setup and buying the correct winter tire for your wheels.
